Demand for Bargaining (DOGE e-mail)
Sample letter demanding bargaining over the “What did you do last week?” email sent from hr@opm.gov to bargaining unit employees.
It has come to the Union’s attention that an email titled “What did you do last week?” was sent from hr@opm.gov to bargaining unit employees (“OPM email”). The Union believes that the OPM email violates the terms of the collective bargaining agreement and hereby reserves the right to file a grievance or take other legal action. Assuming for the sake of argument that the OPM email reflects a lawful exercise of authority, the Union demands bargaining over the decision to issue the OPM email and the effects of the OPM email on the bargaining unit.
